  • Singer Gazelle Convertible

The Singer Gazelle soft top was a British car produced by the Rootes Group, and positioned as a mid-range car; more luxurious than their entry-level Hillman cars, but not as flashy as their line of Sunbeam sports cars.

In early models, the Singer Gazelle convertible top was unusual in that it could be put back in two positions: either all the way down, or rolled back partway such that the front seat was exposed. This Singer convertible top position was called the "coupe de ville" position.
