Although Nissan Motors is one of the world?s most popular and prolific car manufacturers, they have only offered three models with the Nissan convertible top: the 240SX (1992-1995), the 300ZX (1993-1996), and the 350Z (2003-2009).
Nissan?s Z-car line is their line of sports cars, which began with the Nissan Fairlady Z in 1969 and includes several popular convertible models. The Z-cars currently hold the world record as the bestselling sports car series, with over 2 million cars sold. Z-cars have always been known as various models of Fairlady in Japan, but were sold elsewhere as the Nissan 240SX, Nissan 300ZX, Nissan 350Z, and others.
The 350Z has been one of Nissan?s biggest successes. This two-seater sports car represents the fifth generation of Nissan?s popular Z-car line. The 350Z was launched in 2003, initially only as a coupe. The Roadster, a 350Z convertible top, was launched a year later in 2004.
