(1) Which vehicles does this convertible top fit?
This factory-style convertible top is designed to fit Triumph Stag MK I & MK II Roadster models manufactured between 1970 and 1977. It is compatible with both left-hand drive and right-hand drive configurations.
(2) What window configuration does this version offer?
This version features one large zippered rear plastic window. Alternatively, TopsOnline offers a version with three plastic rear windows, with the center window being zippered — and both versions are interchangeable.
(3) What materials are available, and how is it constructed?
Available material options include Everflex British Vinyl, Haartz Leather Textured Vinyl and Haartz Stayfast Cloth. Each top is built with heat-sealed seams, is mildew- and mold-resistant, UV-treated for long-lasting color, and includes a DOT-rated heavy 40-gauge plastic window. The construction is no-sew required, simplifying installation.
(4) Can I install this Convertible Top myself?
Technically, yes, most people can manage to install a Convertible Top on their own, provided they have experience working on automotive upholstery projects. However, TopsOnline.com recommends using a professional installer. Why? Because (a) a professional is going to provide you with the very best convertible top installation that you could ask for; (b) in the rare case where an installer might make a mistake, they’ll take care of it – but if YOU make a mistake with your own installation, that’s coming out of your pocket; and (c) finally, manufacturers reserve the right to void a warranty due to a faulty installation when that installation is done by someone who is not a professional installer. So bottom line: don’t take the risk: hire a professional installer for your convertible top installation – it’s worth it and you won’t regret it!
