Karmann Ghia Convertible Tops & Accessories

The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible top was produced from 1955 to 1974, and combined Italian styling with the Volkswagen Beetle's popular chassis. The replacement Karmann Ghia soft top was a popular car right out of the gate, as the flagship of the Volkswagen line, bringing an elevating sense of style to the formerly workmanlike Volkswagen line.

The Karmann Ghia soft top was a stylish entry into the line of personal cars. Not quite a sports car, yet with a sporty feel, this was the vehicle famously driven by Maxwell Smart in the opening credits of "Get Smart." The replacement Karmann Ghia convertible top was quirky and fun, although it was eventually replaced by the Porsche 914 and the Volkswagen Scirocco.
