What is the EWP Window System?
EWP – Edge Wear Protection – is the EZ ON solution which uses EZ ON’s new window bonding process to match the OEM look and feel of many convertible models. When we look at many models of convertible cars, we see that some manufacturers include a visible plastic/vinyl “ring” around the convertible rear window.
EZ ON Auto Tops knows just how important the original look and feel is to our customers. So, EZ ON’s EWP Window System includes a “J” shape edge – the Edge in Edge Wear Protection. And it’s this “J” shape that gives a near-perfect match to the original window edge on the convertible top windows.
Just as importantly, this “J” shaped edge offers unique protection for the material edge that would otherwise be exposed to Mother Nature as well as the elements of glass cleaning. When cleaning the glass window, whether using a paper towel, cotton, shammy or sponge you will get transfer from cleaning cloths leaving debris on the topping fabric. Our EWP system is keeping the fabric edge clean by buffering the edge of the fabric to the glass with our “J” shaped profile.
