(1) What vehicles is this convertible top cover compatible with?

This top fits factory-original MG TD models produced from 1950 to 1952, specifically those with a two‑bow frame configuration. It is not compatible with kit-built replicas and works with both left-hand and right-hand drive versions.
(2) What kind of rear window is included?

This version includes a single DOT-rated heavy 40‑gauge plastic rear window, consistent with the original factory configuration for MG TDs of that era.
(3) What materials are available?

The top is offered in premium materials such as Haartz Leather‑Textured (British Bison) Vinyl and Haartz Stayfast Cloth—both resistant to UV fading, mildew, and mold. It’s manufactured by the Robbins brand, known for expert craftsmanship.
(4) Can I install this Convertible Top myself?

Technically, yes, most people can manage to install a Convertible Top on their own, provided they have experience working on automotive upholstery projects.  However, TopsOnline.com recommends using a professional installer.  Why?  Because (a) a professional is going to provide you with the very best convertible top installation that you could ask for; (b) in the rare case where an installer might make a mistake, they’ll take care of it – but if YOU make a mistake with your own installation, that’s coming out of your pocket; and (c) finally, manufacturers reserve the right to void a warranty due to a faulty installation when that installation is done by someone who is not a professional installer.  So bottom line: don’t take the risk: hire a professional installer for your convertible top installation – it’s worth it and you won’t regret it!
(5) What warranty coverage is provided?

The Robbins branded top comes with a 5‑year (60‑month) warranty covering the top and the window bond, plus an 18‑month labor allowance if installed professionally.
