(1) What materials are used in this convertible top?
It's constructed from Haartz Pinpoint Vinyl or Stayfast Cloth—factory-style materials that are UV-treated, mildew‑ and mold-resistant for long-lasting durability and original appearance.
(2) What type of rear window is included?
The top features a one-piece, factory-style plastic rear window, sewn and heat-sealed directly into the material. The plastic is DOT-rated, heavy-gauge for clear visibility.
(3) How precise is the fit and construction?
These tops are built with exact OEM dimensions, using computerized cutting and double electronic welding plus sewing on seams for reinforcement. They offer a perfect fit with factory-level craftsmanship.
(4) Where are they manufactured, and what makes them high quality?
They’re made in the USA with materials and techniques matching GM’s original production—including installed piping, binding, and precise stitching under the window—ensuring superb attention to detail
(5) Can I install this Convertible Top myself?
Technically, yes, most people can manage to install a Convertible Top on their own, provided they have experience working on automotive upholstery projects. However, TopsOnline.com recommends using a professional installer. Why? Because (a) a professional is going to provide you with the very best convertible top installation that you could ask for; (b) in the rare case where an installer might make a mistake, they’ll take care of it – but if YOU make a mistake with your own installation, that’s coming out of your pocket; and (c) finally, manufacturers reserve the right to void a warranty due to a faulty installation when that installation is done by someone who is not a professional installer. So bottom line: don’t take the risk: hire a professional installer for your convertible top installation – it’s worth it and you won’t regret it!
