Convertible Tops & Accessories:1971 thru 1973 Mercury Cougar & XR7

Factory style 2 piece Convertible Top cover. Included with the Top, Wire-On trim & Chrome ends to hide the Staples above rear window bow, also included, Matching Top material to use for front Header-seal (front Header-seal is not the front Rubber seal). We offer an original style Top with Glass window & non-original style Top with Plastic window.

This convertible top for the Mercury Cougar & XR7 fits the 1971, 1972 and 1973 model years.

  • All the seams are Heat-Sealed. All Convertible Top materials are mildew & mold resistant, and UV treated for color fastness. Rear windows are DOT rated professional grade safety Windows made by well-known manufacturers. No sewing is required.
  • Warranty Info: EZ ON Brand Convertible Tops include a 3-year warranty, and Robbins Brand Convertible Tops include a 5-year warranty; both brands include an 18-month Labor Allowance. Please see our Warranty page for more details.

Convertible Top with Window and Top with Window Kit Options

You can buy Top with Window which includes the main Top Cover section & the Window section or you can buy Top with Window Kit which in addition to Top & Window sections also Includes Top Pads, Side Cables & Tacking strips. Other colors can be ordered, please inquire.[/b]

  • Factory Original material is the Haartz Pinpoint Vinyl. Factory Original White color is the Haartz Ford White Vinyl. Other colors can be ordered, please inquire.

Convertible Top Tacking Strips

Made with hard plastic, sold in 8 feet cuts. Tacking strip can be easily cut, grinned or stacked as needed. Rear style tacking strip size is 3/8 x 1/2 inches. Front style tacking strip size is 1/8 x 5/8 inches.

This Mercury Convertible Top Boot Cover is made with original Corinthian textured expanded Vinyl material. Other colors can be ordered, please inquire.

  • Boot Cover attaches as original with 6 snap fasteners (installed) & includes 2 pieces 12 x 21 x 14 inches foam.
