The Holden Astra, sold mainly in Australia, has gone through several incarnations over the years. For the fourth generation (1998-2005) the Astra was reworked with German Opel engineering, and built in Belgium. The resulting model, known as the TS Astra convertible top, achieved high marks in safety tests and was available in several trim levels.

The Opel Astra convertible top was available in two limited editions as well: an Olympic Edition celebrating the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, and the Equipe which in addition to the replacement Holden Astra convertible top also included many luxury additions such as fog lamps and a rear spoiler.
